Leeds Mind was set up in 1972 with its roots in High Royds, they’ve come a long way since then, Opening Doors by playing a leading role in the city in recovery thinking, peer support and creative arts.

This celebratory evening was held within the Opening Doors exhibition.  Keynote speaker, Mark Brown, is a mental health activist, social entrepreneur and editor of One in Four magazine. He spoke about his thought provoking concept of ‘The New Mental Health’ which he recently introduced at an international mental health conference is Australia.

Tricia Thorpe, Time to Change project worker, also shared her personal reflections of High Royds and reflected on changes within mental health as doors have continued to open.
